Collaboration can bring the most powerful change in coffee.

For much of the modern coffee trade, roles were relatively fixed. Coffee was grown in producing countries and consumed elsewhere, with most value added far from where the coffee was produced. That structure has shaped pricing, power, and profit across the industry, often to the detriment of producers.

Green Bean

Green beans are coffee raw materials produced from processing coffee cherries in several ways or methods. The methods include: wash, natural and honey. After the coffee cherries become green beans, the next process is roasting.

Roasted Beans

To be consumed, green beans must be roasted first. The result of the roasting process is called roasted beans. This is a stage before the coffee can actually be consumed. After this process, the roasted beans must be ground to make them brewed.

Ground Coffee

Ground coffee is just roasted coffee beans that have been ground down into smaller particles, ready for brewing. But at Miles Tea & Coffee, ground coffee means so much more. It’s about heritage, family and a deep respect for every stage of the coffee-making journey – from the plantations where the beans are grown, to the West Country where we roast and blend, all the way to your cup
